Baked Pears with Berries, Honey, Walnuts & Blue Cheese

A delightful blend of sweet and savory baked pears filled with berries, walnuts, honey, and blue cheese, perfect for any occasion.

  • 3 ripe pears (Bosc or Bartlett), halved and cored
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup fresh mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, or cranberries)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, lightly toasted
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese or gorgonzola
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. Slice the pears in half lengthwise and remove the cores.
  4. Brush each pear half with melted butter and arrange cut-side up in the dish.
  5. Spoon berries, walnuts, and blue cheese into the hollowed center of each pear half.
  6. Drizzle honey over the pears and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until tender and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.

Notes

Serve as a dessert with ice cream, for breakfast with yogurt, or as part of a cheese board.
