  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a medium mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas, and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top if desired.
