Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas and stir until mixed.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Add the sugar and mix well.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and add it along with the vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Stir until combined.
  6. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  10. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for sweetness and moisture. You can add nuts or spices for additional flavor.
