Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Delightful cookies made with peanut butter, rolled oats, and cocoa powder, perfect for a quick and easy dessert.

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and peanut butter. Stir continuously until it comes to a boil.
  2. Allow the mixture to boil for 1-2 minutes but do not overcook. Keep an eye on it to ensure it reaches the right temperature without becoming overly thick.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the rolled oats and vanilla extract. Mix well until fully combined and uniform.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Allow the cookies to cool and set for about 30 minutes before enjoying.

Notes

For a different flavor, try almond or cashew butter instead of peanut butter.
