Deliciously Spiced Pumpkin Madeleines

These delightful pumpkin madeleines are soft, fluffy, and flavored with warm spices, making them a perfect autumn treat.

  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease your madeleine pan well.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  4. In another large bowl, mix the melted unsalted butter and granulated sugar until fluffy and light.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Mix in the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  8. Fill each madeleine mold about three-quarters full.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and springy.
  10. Cool slightly in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for a week.
