Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a donut pan by lightly greasing it or using a silicone mold.
In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
Add in your dry ingredients: whole wheat flour, baking powder, pumpkin spice, and a pinch of salt. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Fill the donut pan, using a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a corner cut off to avoid spills. Fill each cavity about 2/3 full.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the donuts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
For extra flavor, consider glazing the donuts with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and a dash of vanilla extract, or keep them plain and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar!
