Easy Firecracker Shrimp

Firecracker shrimp is a delectable dish with sweet and spicy flavors, perfect for quick dinners or as an impressive appetizer.

  • 1 lb Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Fresh Garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp Fresh Ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Sriracha
  • ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper
  • Green Onions, for garnish
  • Sesame Seeds, optional

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water, pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, and Sriracha for the marinade. Toss shrimp and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper for coating.
  4. Dredge marinated shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  5. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove shrimp and drain on paper towels.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

Serve with dipping sauces or over rice/noodles. Can be refrigerated for 2 days or frozen for a month.
