Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds potatoes
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Wash and cut the potatoes into even-sized chunks. Place in a large pot, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.
Drain the potatoes and return to the pot. Let them sit on low heat for a few minutes to evaporate excess moisture.
Add minced garlic, milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Stir until well combined.
Use a potato masher to smash the mixture, leaving some chunks for texture.
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For a creamier texture, use heavy cream instead of milk.
