2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup rolled oats
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
3 cups apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup salted caramel sauce
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and flour. Stir until fully incorporated. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking dish to form a crust.
In another bowl, toss the sliced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a splash of lemon juice. Spread the apple mixture over the crust.
Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Mix until crumbly, then sprinkle evenly over the apples.
Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the oat topping. Reserve the remaining caramel for serving.
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling.
Allow the bars to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with an extra drizzle of salted caramel on top.
