Homemade Pesto Sauce

A vibrant and flavorful homemade pesto sauce made with fresh basil, perfect for pasta, sandwiches, and salads.

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano, grated
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place basil leaves, grated Parmigiano-Reggiano, minced garlic, salt, and pepper into a food processor.
  2. Pulse: Pulse the mixture until finely chopped.
  3. Add Olive Oil: While processing, slowly drizzle in the olive oil to emulsify.
  4. Stir in Heavy Cream: Once smooth, stop the processor and gently stir in the heavy cream.
  5. Serve: Toss with cooked pasta or use in sandwiches and salads.
