Hot Chocolate Balls are a fun and interactive twist on traditional hot chocolate, dissolving in warm milk to create a creamy beverage filled with chocolatey goodness.

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in increments of 30 seconds, or use a double boiler.
  2. In another bowl, mix the cocoa powder and powdered sugar until well combined.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate into the cocoa mixture and stir until smooth, ensuring no lumps remain.
  4. Add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until a thick chocolate paste forms.
  5. Fill silicone molds with the mixture, pressing down to remove air bubbles.
  6. Top each ball with mini marshmallows before freezing.
  7. Freeze for about 15 minutes until solid.
  8. Remove from molds and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or cool place.
  9. To serve, drop the Hot Chocolate Balls into warm milk, stir, and enjoy!
