Instant Pot Shredded Beef

Delicious and tender shredded beef cooked quickly in the Instant Pot, perfect for tacos, sandwiches, and more.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to the sauté function and heat for a few minutes.
  2. Add onions and garlic, stirring for about 2-3 minutes until soft.
  3. Season the beef with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, chili powder, and cumin.
  4. Sear the beef in the pot for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Pour in the beef broth.
  6. Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on manual for 60 minutes.
  7. Allow pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then do a quick release.
  8. Remove beef and shred with two forks.
  9. Serve as desired.

Notes

For optimal flavor, do not skip the searing step. Adjust spices based on personal preference.
