Loaded Chili Cheese Fries

A delicious and filling dish perfect for game nights, parties, or a cozy family dinner, combining crispy fries, savory chili, and melted cheese.

  • Frozen French fries
  • 1 lb Ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can Kidney beans, drained
  • 2 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes
  • 1 small Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese (cheddar or nacho cheese)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sliced green onions (for garnish)
  • Sour cream (optional)
  • Jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions until crispy.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced onions and minced garlic until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in drained kidney beans, chili powder, and diced tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Transfer the crispy fries to a serving platter and pour the chili mixture over them.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and place under the broiler for a few minutes until melted.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and optional toppings like sour cream and jalapeños. Serve warm.

Notes

For a healthier option, bake the fries instead of frying. Customize toppings based on preference!
