Nutella Swirl Bread

  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (Chilled)
  • ½ cup Chopped Toasted Hazelnuts
  • For the Bread:
  • 2¼ cups Flour
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter (Room Temperature)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ½ cup Nutella
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Warm Water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Make the Streusel Topping: Mix flour, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl; add chilled butter, mix until crumbly, then stir in chopped hazelnuts.
  3. Prepare the Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.
  4. Cream the Butter and Sugar: Beat room temperature butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla until well combined.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Alternate adding dry mixture and milk to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Make the Nutella Mixture: Mix Nutella, cocoa powder, and warm water in a small bowl until smooth.
  7. Layer the Batter: Pour half the batter into the loaf pan, swirl in half the Nutella mixture, then repeat with remaining batter and Nutella.
  8. Add the Streusel Topping: Sprinkle the prepared streusel on top of the bread batter.
  9. Bake the Bread: Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
  10. Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing and avoid overmixing the batter.
