Perfect Tamagoyaki

Delightful Japanese rolled omelette, perfect for any meal and full of cultural significance.

Ingredients

  • 3 units Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, crack the fresh eggs and add the water, salt, and sugar. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Heat a tamagoyaki pan over medium-low heat and coat with vegetable oil.
  3. Pour a thin layer of egg mixture into the pan and cook until the edges start to set.
  4. Gently roll the omelette from one edge to the other.
  5. Add more egg mixture, lifting the rolled omelette to let the raw egg flow underneath.
  6. Repeat the rolling and adding process until all the egg mixture is cooked.
  7. Remove and let the tamagoyaki cool on a cutting board before slicing.
  8. Serve warm or cold, garnished as desired.

Customize with your favorite fillings like green onions or cheese for additional flavor.
