Sesame Chicken and Lo Mein

A delicious dish featuring tender chicken, vibrant vegetables, and savory lo mein noodles, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 4 oz lo mein noodles
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot. Add the lo mein noodles and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and honey.
  7. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables, stirring to coat.
  8. Add the cooked lo mein noodles and mix thoroughly.
  9. Season with salt and pepper, and top with sesame seeds.
  10. Garnish with green onions before serving.
