In another mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Mix until creamy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fluffy.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
If possible, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
Drop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
