Halloween Salad

A festive and vibrant Halloween Salad featuring mozzarella skulls, mixed greens, and cherry tomatoes, perfect for Halloween gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz mozzarella balls (about 16 balls or large mozzarella cut into cubes)
  • 6 oz mixed salad greens
  • 1 pint sweet cherry tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp fresh basil, thinly sliced
  • Olive oil (good quality finishing oil)
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 lemon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Create mozzarella skulls by shaping or cutting the mozzarella into skull-like forms.
  2. Lay mixed salad greens on a serving platter or large bowl.
  3. Arrange sweet cherry tomatoes around the greens.
  4. Place mozzarella skulls on top of the salad.
  5. Scatter sliced fresh basil throughout the salad.
  6. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze over the top.
  7. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and cracked black pepper.
  8. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over if desired.
  9. Serve immediately for best freshness.

Notes

Best consumed within 1-2 days. Keep mozzarella skulls separate to maintain shape.
