Southern Pecan Pie

A beloved Southern dessert featuring sweet, gooey filling and rich pecans, perfect for celebrations.

  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 unbaked pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the corn syrup and brown sugar and whisk until smooth.
  3. Crack in the eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition.
  4. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract, whisking until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Fold in the pecan halves evenly.
  6. Pour the pecan filling into the unbaked pie crust.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes until set with a slight jiggle in the center.
  8. Allow to cool for a couple of hours before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence.
