Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Method

Instructions
  1. Wash and trim the green beans, removing the stem ends. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the green beans to the skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, until they're bright green and slightly tender but still crisp.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce and continue cooking for another minute, tossing to coat all the beans evenly.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately while hot and crunchy.

Notes

For best results, make sure your skillet is hot before adding the green beans. If you prefer softer beans, blanch them in boiling water for 2 minutes before stir-frying. Frozen green beans can be used - just thaw completely and pat dry before cooking.
