  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet and brush each side lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy. Alternatively, you can grill the bread for a smoky flavor.
  2. In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Once the bread is toasted, rub each slice with a garlic clove for extra flavor. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of bread. Drizzle with a little more olive oil and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  4. Bruschetta is best served fresh while the bread is still crispy. Enjoy it as an appetizer, party snack, or light meal.

Notes

Choose ripe, juicy tomatoes like Roma or vine-ripened tomatoes for the best flavor. Toast the bread until crispy to prevent it from becoming soggy. You can prepare the tomato topping a few hours ahead and store it in the refrigerator. Assemble the bruschetta just before serving.
