Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, salt, and pepper.
- Gently mix the ingredients until just combined – avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 1/2-inch thick.
- Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging during cooking.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
- Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Toast the burger buns lightly if desired.
- Assemble burgers with your favorite toppings and serve immediately.
Notes
Don't overmix the meat, keep ingredients cold, use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness (165°F), and let burgers rest 2-3 minutes after cooking. The indentation in the center prevents bulging during cooking.
