Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika if using. Make sure every bean is evenly coated.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. This ensures they roast evenly and get crispy rather than steaming.
- Roast for 15 minutes, then remove from oven and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Toss gently to distribute the cheese.
- Return to oven for 5-7 more minutes, or until the cheese is golden and the beans are tender-crisp with slightly crispy edges.
- Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately while hot and crispy!
Notes
Pat green beans completely dry before tossing with oil for maximum crispiness. Use two baking sheets if needed to avoid overcrowding. Fresh minced garlic provides the best flavor, but garlic powder can be substituted. Try different cheeses like pecorino romano or asiago for flavor variations.
