Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or 9-inch pie plate with non-stick cooking spray.
- Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Cut each cinnamon roll into 4-6 smaller pieces using a sharp knife or kitchen shears.
- In a medium bowl, combine the chopped cinnamon rolls with the apple pie filling. Gently mix until the cinnamon roll pieces are evenly distributed throughout the apple filling.
- Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. If using optional nuts or butter, sprinkle them over the top at this point.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through. The top should be slightly crispy while the inside remains soft and moist.
- Remove from oven and immediately drizzle the included cinnamon roll icing over the top. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving warm.
Notes
Make-ahead magic: Prepare the cinnamon roll bake the night before. Follow all steps except baking, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly. Customization ideas: Try different pie fillings like cherry or blueberry. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra warmth. For a decadent twist, mix in chocolate chips or drizzle with caramel sauce after baking.
