- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.
- Using a knife, lightly score a border about 1 inch from the edge of the pastry to create a crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the pastry, staying within the scored border.
- Place the halved cherry tomatoes on top of the cheese, cut side up. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
- Lightly brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg to give it a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
