  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Using a knife, lightly score a border about 1 inch from the edge of the pastry to create a crust.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the pastry, staying within the scored border.
  5. Place the halved cherry tomatoes on top of the cheese, cut side up. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
  6. Lightly brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg to give it a golden finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
