- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.
- Using a sharp knife, lightly score a border about 1/2 inch from the edge of the pastry. Be careful not to cut all the way through.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the pastry, staying within the scored border.
- Place the tomato slices on top of the cheese, overlapping slightly. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
Notes
For the best flavor, use ripe, in-season tomatoes. Pat the tomato slices dry with a paper towel to prevent a soggy crust. Add garlic powder or red pepper flakes for extra flavor. Serve warm for the best experience.
