Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil until evenly coated. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using), and toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
  3. Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they're not overcrowded to ensure proper crisping.
  4. Roast for 15-20 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until the green beans are tender-crisp and starting to brown at the edges.
  5. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. The residual heat will melt the cheese slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispy green beans, pat them completely dry before tossing with oil. If you love garlic flavor, try adding an extra clove or two. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
