Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Method

Instructions
  1. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and fresh lemon juice until smooth and well combined
  2. Add the granulated sugar, honey, and Dijon mustard to the bowl. Whisk vigorously until the sugar begins to dissolve and all ingredients are fully incorporated
  3. Sprinkle in the celery seed, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Continue whisking until the dressing is completely smooth and uniform in consistency
  4. Taste your dressing and adjust seasoning if needed. If you prefer sweeter coleslaw, add another teaspoon of honey. For more tang, add an extra tablespoon of vinegar
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together

Notes

This dressing improves when made a day in advance. Use full-fat mayonnaise for creamiest texture. Adjust consistency with milk for thinner dressing or more mayonnaise for thicker dressing.
