Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the blue corn masa and salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution.
  2. Gradually add warm water to the mixture, stirring until a moist dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls about the size of golf balls.
  4. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Flatten each ball into a thin circle using a tortilla press or rolling pin.
  6. Carefully place the tortilla in the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until light brown spots appear.
  7. Remove the tortilla from the skillet and keep warm by covering with a clean towel.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite fillings or toppings.

Notes

Store tortillas wrapped in a cloth at room temperature, or in an airtight container for short-term, and freeze for long-term storage.
