Old-Fashioned Egg Custard Pie

A classic dessert with a silky texture and creamy flavor, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Ground nutmeg, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9.5-inch pie plate.
  2. In a blender, combine the melted butter, eggs, sugar, salt, milk, vanilla extract, and flour. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the custard mixture into the greased pie dish.
  4. Sprinkle ground nutmeg on top.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes until the custard is firm but jiggles slightly in the center.
  6. Cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra treat. Store at room temperature for a day or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
