6 cups of sliced apples
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Wash, peel, core, and slice your apples. Place them in a large bowl and add ½ cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. Toss until the apples are well-coated.
In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of flour, ½ cup of melted butter, 1 cup of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until just combined; it’s okay if the batter is a bit lumpy.
Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Evenly distribute the coated apples over the batter. Do not stir; the apples will sink while baking, creating a delightful layer.
Bake your cobbler in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
Let the cobbler cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
