Dijon Maple Chicken Thighs

A delightful dish combining the tangy flavor of Dijon mustard with the sweet richness of maple syrup, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard and maple syrup.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Pour the maple-Dijon mixture over the seared chicken.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon the sauce over before serving hot.

Notes

Consider using bone-in, skin-on thighs for more flavor. Searing the chicken helps to develop a tasty crust.
